About the IRISH

The Bloomington/Normal (B/N) Fighting Irish Football organization welcomes you to the sport of football!

We are a non-profit organization administered by a volunteer board.  We seek to provide a recreational, educational, and competitive program for our participants.

We stress at all times, sportsmanship and moral character development by fostering honesty, integrity, leadership, and Christian ethics both on and off the field.

We are dedicated to young athletes that participate in our organization and to their safety and enjoyment.

The B/N Fighting Irish are one of the six teams in the Bloomington-Normal Area Youth Football (BNAYF) Association.

Practice is conducted at Clearwater Park on Clearwater Avenue in Bloomington.  Our home game field is at Chiddix Junior High.

We have a fun Pep Rally to introduce all the players and cheerleaders before the first game.   There is also a banquet at the end of the season to celebrate the accomplishments of the participants.

usaFootballThe IRISH organization is proud to be affiliated with USA Football and advocate of Heads Up Tackling.  USA football supports Not For Profit youth programs across the country by providing a comprehensive approach to fundamental training and education to improve the safety and enjoyment of youth football.  Their focus is on proper tackling, equipment fitting, and concussion management, all contained in an excellent training package that our coaches complete each year.

This is one significant step we take to ensure that our young athletes and their family have a great experience.  For more details on USA Football visit usafootball.com
